Microteaching Practice teaching in front of peer audience 15 min teaching; 5 minute setting the context/explaining the trajectory Lesson Plan Video taping and self-analysis Foci: 1-Open, 2-Teacher directed, 3- Student focused
Field Experiences 3 week placements in local MS & HS Work with a partner in 2 class periods Week 1: Observe teacher; take field notes Week 2 & 3: Each partner teaches one class; Complete daily log to reflect on your own practice. **Reminder: Fingerprinting & Background check

PKY Observations September 8 Visit PKY with a partner Observe classes and write field notes Arrive at the school ~15 minutes before your first scheduled class. Go to the front office to check in as a visitor. Dress and act professionally. See Schedule.
Internship The first week of student teaching internship begins this fall: Dec 8-12 Student Teaching Scavenger Hunt due this semester.
