Project Goal Create a test program that can verify the TV is outputting the correct IR signals to VCR and DVD that are connected through IR blaster cable 4 different VCR and DVD brands will be tested
Requirements Two modes: Database mode and Test mode Database mode Receive signal from TV, analyze, and store its characteristic Allow operator to designate a “name” Signal begins on the first signal transition and ends after 1s of no transitions
Requirements (continued) Test mode Allow operator to select a sequence of signals from the database mode START and STOP capabilities Handle no more than a 1s “silent” transition between each new test signal Log pass/fail results to User Interface and text file output

Operational concept Sample 4 different DVD and VCR brands : Toshiba Panasonic JVC Sony Theaternet Sample 8 functions for each DVD brand (Power, Play, Stop, FF, REW, Pause, Skip, Search) Each test function will be sampled 3 times (3 rep/test)
