Legislative Branch- Article I Congress  Makes Laws

House of Representatives = 435 Members (32 TX) 1. Serve for 2 yrs. No limit on re-elections 2. Must be at least 25 yrs. old 3. Can propose tax laws, and appropriates it. 4. Can Impeach (accuse) the president of wrong- doings. Johnson, Nixon, Clinton Current Speaker of House: John Boehner

Senate = 100 Members (R) 5. Serve for 6 yrs. No limit on re-elections 6. Must be at least 30 yrs. old 7. Approves Presidential appointments – Like Supreme Court Justices 8. Ratifies treaties with foreign governments 9. Holds the trial for Impeachments.
