 Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda is a nonprofit education association with a quarter million students preparing for careers in business and business- related fields.

Goals 1.Develop competent, aggressive business leadership. 2.Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work. 3.Create more interest in and understanding of American business enterprise. 4.Encourage members in the development of individual projects that contribute to the improvement of home, business, and community. 5.Develop character, prepare for useful citizenship, and foster patriotism. 6.Encourage and practice efficient money management. 7.Encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty. 8.Assist students in the establishment of occupational goals. 9.Facilitate the transition from school to work. Mission  Our mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.

 February is CTAE Month.  Plan Activities:  Dress for Success Day/Professional Dress Day make it school wide; not just for FBLA members  FBLA T-shirt Day  Faculty Appreciation Day  Have a social activity like a movie night

 Teach a Trick or Treat Safety class for elementary kids  Visit a nursing home to deliver Christmas cards or some other occasion  Relay for Life: Join forces with the school team and have FBLA representation for Relay for Life event  Volunteer to work at field day events at local Pre-K or primary schools

 Work with other CTSOs to host a school clean-up day  Make programs and flyers for various school events and activities:  Graduation, Prom, Honor’s Night  Recognize administrative professionals during Administrative Professionals Week  Recognize administrator during Boss’s Day

 The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality

 In an average week in our state 2,000 babies are born.  190 of these babies will be born low birth weight (weighing less than 5 1/2 pounds)….additional ly, 40 of these babies will be born very low birth weight, weighing less than 3 pounds and fighting for their lives.

 THE ACTIVITIES:  Each AWARD will include the following activities and concepts:  Service: Activities that improve the member's school, area businesses, community, and/or state. Upon completion, members will understand the link between a community and the success of business.  Education: Activities, studies, and curriculum that prepare the student for corporate America, entrepreneurship, and continuing education. Using input from business educators, industry professionals, and college educators, members will be more prepared for their future. Upon completion, FBLA members will better understand business and the world of work.  Progress: Activities that promote the organization at the local, regional/district, state and national levels. Upon completion, FBLA members will better understand the local, state, and national levels of the organization and how they complement one another.
