Press the button with the picture of a arrow and a mountain to focus on the subject far away. This will allow you to focus. When the picture of the person or mountain is visible the focus cannot be adjusted farther away. Touch OK to set it. Click Manual Focus For close ups of subjects For Distant subjects

Setting Up Audio Equipment Check List

4. Set the levels: Have your talent speak in the tone of voice for the scene. Adjust the audio levels accordingly. Make sure the audio from the meter bounces between -12dB and -6dB. Check to make sure your audio will not peak and that it will pick up your talent and not the ambient noise. 5. Monitor the Audio: During the filming, keep an eye on the levels. Use headphones to listen to the audio to make sure it sound good. Don’t just rely on the levels.

Audio Troubleshooting 1. Check Batteries 2. Check to see if the microphone is in the mute settings. 3. Check the connections! 4. Check the microphone settings. Levels could be set too low 5. Hearing Interference? Try changing the frequency on the microphone or switch to a wired lav. 6. Is there a buzzing in the audio? An audio cable may be crossed with a power cable or it may be too close to electrical equipment. Check cables.
