Welcome To Year 3 Autumn Term 2015

Inclusive Coaching  Tuesday morning  Winter kit includes, sweatshirt, jogging bottoms and trainers (not plimsolls)  Extra socks  Everything named

Reading  Books should be brought in every day  Expectation to read a minimum of five times a week (between 5 and 10 minutes)  Parent to record reading and sign off finished book  Reading five times a week = name on Reading Challenge  Parent helpers are very important  Teaching Assistants monitor weekly reading  Guided Reading enables teacher input and assessment  Bookmarks

Homework (Year Three 45 minutes excluding Reading)  Achievable  Structured  Promotes independence  Support  Spelling rules Y3 New National Curriculum (Linked to phonics phases)  Maths linked to what we are learning in class, My Maths  Remember Reading is Homework!  Topic Mini Projects (Occasional)  Homework will be given out on a Thursday and is due in on the following Tuesday  Please cover Homework books and Reading Records with sticky back plastic
