Allsee-gesture recognition system Bringing Gesture Recognition To All Devices 學生:黃建輔 指導老師:許毅然 大家好,我今天要介紹的是一個手勢辨別系統,叫做Allsee

Introduction 1/2 existing approaches need power-hungry sensing 現在市面上發售的手勢辨別系統例如微軟的Xbox Kinect、Leap motion 還有三星的S4手機,都是利用攝影鏡頭來辨認手部或肢體的動作 這種方式需要消耗大量的電量與運算能力,不利於行動裝置。 在三星的S4手機上使用手勢辨別系統來操作手機容易導致電量急速下降,龐大的運算量還可能導致手機發熱 existing approaches need power-hungry sensing they require rich signal processing capabilities

Introduction 2/2 extract gesture information from ambient RF signals 我現在要介紹的這種手勢辨別系統,他不是使用影像辨別 是利用生活中無線射頻訊號(例如無線電視訊號、WIFI、RFID)的變化來辨認手勢,圖中可以看到當然手掌接近感測器就會產生訊號變化

Introduction 2/3 Leverages existing signal for power and gesture recognition Consumes lower power and can enable always-on gesture recognition for smartphones and tablets 訊號的能量可以提供系統電源,所以系統可以常開而不會消耗電量,非常適合在行動裝置上使用

AllSee’s Receiver Design Use an envelope detector to extract the amplitude information Use passive analog components and hence is ultra-low power in nature 上面這個圖是接收器的電路,他是使用封包檢測器來提取幅度訊息 接收到訊號後經過電路消除載波頻率並且增加振幅 另外電路都是使用被動元件,所以功耗很低

AllSee’s Classification Logic 1/2 AllSee can detect and classify these eight gestures Changes created on the envelope detector’s output AllSee總共可以檢測和分類這八種手勢 下圖是每個手勢對應的訊號圖 手勢大致上有分握拳、張開、推、拉

AllSee’s Classification Logic 2/2 An envelope detector to remove the carrier frequency A second envelope detector that tracks changes caused by the gestures at a slow rate The buffer ensures that the envelope detector and the averaging circuit do not affect each other 這張圖是Allsee的電路設計圖 接受訊號經過兩次的封包檢測電路之後送進比較電路完成數位訊號 下方平均電路和二次封包檢測電路中間的緩衝電路,他可以避免前面兩者不互相影響
