An animal given human-like qualities or an object given life-like qualities. Example: The stars danced playfully in the moonlit sky..

Consonant sounds repeated at the beginnings of words. Example: Fred’s friends fried Fritos for Friday’s food.

Assonance Repeated Vowels sounds in a line or lines of poetry. Flash with a rash with give me my cash flicking' my ash Running with my money, son, go out with a blast."

Exaggeration often used for emphasis. Example: I could eat a horse.
