Why Pause, Stop & Relook ? People are busy. Work hard for money. Loose quality of life. Less health No leisure More stress No true fulfillment.

Myths that Lead to a Busy, Unfulfilling Life Myth : I’m Too Busy Living to Think About Life. THE TRUTH: In order to have focus we need space to focus. Myth : If You Can Fit It In You Should Fit It In. THE TRUTH: We can try to avoid tradeoffs, but we can’t escape them. We have to make a choice. Myth : If everyone is doing it then I need to do it. THE TRUTH: There is a joy in missing out. Discover it.

Myth : I’ll stay up late and get it done. THE TRUTH: Sleep is for high performers. Hard working not always helps. Myth : When things don’t fit, force them. THE TRUTH: You should never force anything.

Myths that Lead to a Busy, Unfulfilling Life Myth : I have to do this. THE TRUTH: The ability to choose cannot be taken away or given away - it can only be forgotten. Myth : More is better than less. THE TRUTH: Choosing quality over quantity makes us more truly fulfilled -always. Myth : I have plenty of time left to get to that. THE TRUTH: Life is pathetically short.

Visualize the Life You Want Imagine what you really need. Balance between work & personal life. Think about both, Realistic goals Imaginary (new / exiting) goals Focus on the goal. Eliminate unwanted things. Make a vision. Take decisions based on vision.

List Your Trade-Offs Find what you really need to do & should not do. Limited time. Say “yes” to new activities, say “no” to current activities. Identify what is best for you. (most valuable) E.g. gathering with friends or spending time with family. E.g. watching television or learning a new thing.

Consolidate Activities Combine two or more tasks in a single time frame. But, multi tasking not always helps. Find effective ways to combine tasks. Combine activities require full attention with activities require less mental concentration E.g. Listening to news while cooking. Combine activities which can do together. E.g. Swimming with friends.

Time Management Are we use our time effectively? Balance between Money – Time – Value Simplified technique. First you need to relax. Mind map & prepare “To do” list with priority. Set realistic goals. Focus on most productive time of the day. Work without get stress, breaks between work is important. Keep track of progress. Reassess the “to do” list. Leave time for fun. Sleep for 7-9 hours every night.

Take Shortcuts Cut corners without cutting quality! E.g. Use washing machine Happiness not only give advantages to life, but it just feels good. Life is short, always being happy is key to true fulfillment. Try to change your bad mood as soon as possible with following shortcuts. Changing Perspective Music, Laughter, Find Joy, etc

Stress Management Positive Attitudes Effective Time Management Understand route cause for stress & give solutions. Effective Time Management Leisure Activities Sports, Fitness, Swimming, etc Television, Movies & Music Gathering – Friends, Family, Colleagues Reading Creative Activities – Arts, Writing Relaxation Techniques, Meditation Healthy Habits & Diets

True Fulfillment Happiness is the most important in life. Perspective of happiness may vary. Can change sad to happy by changing perspective. Distinguish Fulfillment & Complacency. Plan realistically and avoid “after theory”. Value is not money. Practice good habits.
