Classroom Procedures…. Entering the Art Room: Enter the room quietly and ready to listen! Go directly to YOUR seat “Give me 5” Listening ears on Hands free Bodies still Eyes on me Lips closed

Classroom Procedures….. “Clean up” and exiting the ART Room Watch for “Give me 5” signal Listen for tasks and directions See job chart Complete your task Clean up your space Raise hands to signal you are finished Mrs. Smith will allow to wash hands at this time Mrs. Smith will prompt an art superstar to initiate line up

Classroom Rules School Wide Respect yourself Always do your best! Wait for directions before beginning Respect others Be kind Respect others thoughts and opinions Remain silent during instruction time Keep hands and feet to self Raise hand when you have a question Stay in seat at all times, unless given permission Respect property Clean art space and messes Help put supplies away when finished Use materials safely, appropriately, and with permission Walk safely in the classroom No potty policy Please go BEFORE entering the art classroom Emergencies only during “studio exploration” time Sign name on white board when existing the art room and take “Art Pass”

Art Superstars Positive behavior reinforcement Will receive a “ good work cone” Must maintain good behavior to keep cone If you end class with a cone you will receive a small prize and be rewarded to be a floor inspector or a table caller. Maximum number of two Art superstars per class

About Mrs. Smith…….some new info! I just got married! My husband’s name is Cody. We live in Millville with our new dog “Missy”. I love to Kayak, I just got a new red kayak for my Birthday in March. I plan on buying my own Kiln for my own studio this year! If I was not a teacher I would want to be a make-up artist.

New to the Art Room The “Yacker Tracker” If it becomes too noisy the light will turn Red and the buzzer will go off If it gets to red the class will have 5 minutes of quiet time. If you talk during that time you will owe me five minutes of your recess time.
