I.LIVING IT – HOW HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING Making Disciples?

II.Introduction Matthew 28:16-20 New International Version (NIV) 16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” noun: disciple; plural noun: disciples 1. a personal follower of Jesus during his life, especially one of the twelve Apostles. 2. a follower or student of a teacher, leader, or philosopher.

III.Listen to Jesus Matthew 5:1-2 New International Version (NIV) 1 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them. Matthew 11:1 New International Version (NIV) 1 After Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he went on from there to teach and preach in the towns of Galilee. John 14:1 New International Version (NIV) 1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.

III.Listen to Jesus Ephesians 1:13 New International Version (NIV) 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, John 10:27 New Century Version (NCV) 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. John 14:26 New International Version (NIV) 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

III.Listen to Jesus John 15:26 New International Version (NIV) 26 “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father— he will testify about me. John 8:31 Amplified Bible (AMP) 31 So Jesus was saying to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples. Luke 16:10 New Living Translation (NLT) 10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.

III.Listen to Jesus John 14:12 New Living Translation (NLT) 12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. Matthew 10:1, 5-8 New Century Version (NCV) 5 Jesus called his twelve followers together and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and sickness. 5 Jesus sent out these twelve men with the following order: “Don’t go to the non-Jewish people or to any town where the Samaritans live. 6 But go to the people of Israel, who are like lost sheep. 7 When you go, preach this: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead to life again, heal those who have skin diseases, and force demons out of people. I give you these powers freely, so help other people freely.

III.Listen to Jesus Mark 6:7, New Century Version (NCV) 7 He called his twelve followers together and got ready to send them out two by two and gave them authority over evil spirits ] 12 So the followers went out and preached that people should change their hearts and lives. 13 They forced many demons out and put olive oil on many sick people and healed them.

III.Listen to Jesus Luke 10:1-3, 9, 17 New Century Version (NCV) 1 After this, the Lord chose seventy-two others and sent them out in pairs ahead of him into every town and place where he planned to go. 2 He said to them, “There are a great many people to harvest, but there are only a few workers. So pray to God, who owns the harvest, that he will send more workers to help gather his harvest. 3 Go now, but listen! I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. 9 Heal the sick who live there, and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God is near you.’ 17 When the seventy-two came back, they were very happy and said, “Lord, even the demons obeyed us when we used your name!”
