The Simple Pendulum The solution of the Eq.(45) is: where  0 is the maximum angular displacement. According to Eq.(46) : the greater the length of a pendulum, the greater the period. – The period and therefore the frequency are independent of the amplitude of oscillation (as long as the amplitude is small).
