Anatomy

Elbow Dislocation

Elbow Bursitis

Lateral Collateral Ligament Overuse of the LCL in the elbow is commonly known as tennis elbow. One-handed backhand stroke puts extra strain on the lateral side of the elbow.

LCL Injuries

Ulnar Collateral Ligament Repetitive overhead throwing motion leads to pitcher’s elbow. Torn UCL usually stems from pitching mechanics.

UCL Anatomy

UCL Injuries

Tommy John Surgery Officially known as the ulnar collateral ligament replacement. Torn UCL can be surgery replaced by your own palmaris longis ligament or a cadaver ligament. Although rare, not everyone has a palmaris longis.
