What’s the farmer’s problem? A farmer had a fox, a chicken and some corn.

He wanted to cross the river. But the boat was too small.

It could only carry the farmer and one other thing.

“ I can’t leave the fox with the chicken. The fox can eat the chicken.”

“ I can’t leave the chicken with the corn. The chicken can eat the corn.”

The farmer, the fox, the chicken and the corn crossed the river safely. How did the farmer do it?

1. The farmer took the chicken across.

2. He took the corn across and brought the chicken back.

3. The farmer took the fox across.

4. The farmer took the chicken across.
