Do Now Perspectives and Frameworks Jigsaw Form Expert Groups Expert Group Presentations Four Corners Q&A, Reflection

YOUR PERSONAL STATEMENT TW Annotations Your English journal including all Do Nows Student checklists Resource sheets from Mrs. Litt See the front to pick up database login info (yellow slips)

Quantitative: Using numbers and statistics as evidence The acceleration exerted by gravity is 9.8 m/s/s Anecdotal: Using narrative evidence An apple fell on Isaac Newton’s head Theoretical: Using peer-reviewed theory as evidence The theory of gravity states that all things with mass are pulled toward one another…

Your table will be assigned a framework. Read about your framework, talk with your group mates, and take your own notes so that you will be an expert in this framework. Produce a visual representation of your framework. What does it mean? What is an image that symbolizes it? After about 10 minutes, each member of your group is responsible for teaching this framework to others

Take a photo of your group’s visual representation with your phone Form groups with an expert in every topic! Each expert take ~2 minutes to explain your framework and your visual representation to your new groups. ANY person can be called on to share out ANY framework, so make sure everyone is familiar with every framework

Fill out your checklist – what do you still need to work on before beginning your argumentative research? What perspective influences your career choice most? What kind of research do you prefer to conduct?
