Telephone Number format for Changes You will notice a new look to the fields you will use to capture a telephone number on the Name and Address tab in Client details. You will now see a Notes field that allows you to add text information regarding that number. For instance, you may want to note that the cell phone entered is for text only. Previously the phone number field was not formatted and you could use number, letter or character. The new functionality will require formatting of phone numbers (###-###-####) on the creation of a new client. For pre-existing clients, you will only need to change a non-conforming phone number if the phone number is edited.
Telephone Number format for Changes Enter the correct formatting as shown in the error message and Save.
Improve Vaccine Data Entry In order to help increase efficiency when entering multiple vaccinations including historical, we have made some changes to the immunization integration. After clicking on Add Vaccination or Add Other Vaccination, you will see a similar data entry screen with a new field called Additional vaccination as shown above. If you have other vaccinations to add, historical or those given that day, click Additional vaccination rather than clicking on Create. Another data field will open so that you can enter another vaccination and will minimize the one previously entered.
Improve Vaccine Data Entry Continue to add all the vaccinations that were given that day. After the first entry some fields will carry over to the next vaccination entry screen as they are likely to remain the same. However they can be changed if needed. This will help to decrease the fields that need to be completed from vaccination to vaccination.
Improve Vaccine Data Entry For Historical vaccinations we have made a few changes as well. After you check Historical?, you will notice that some fields disappear and a new field is added. The fields that disappear are not fields that would be completed for a Historical vaccination. Doctor/clinic/source was added for you to capture additional information regarding where that historical immunization was completed at. This is not a required field and, as such, does not need to be completed. If you add subsequent historical vaccinations the fields that carry over from the previous hisotrical vaccination include Doctor/clinic/source and Administered on date. It is recommended that you group your vaccinations together so that you can benefit from those fields that carry over. For instance, by completing all your historical vaccination at one time and then completing all those vaccinations completed at your facility.
Improve Vaccine Data Entry Once you have added all our vaccination you will want to click Create. Clicking Create will save the vaccination information locally in Nightingale Notes. For those agencies that are connected to a registry there is one additional screen you will see. All of the vaccinations that you entered will appear on this screen selected. In addition, you will see a clock icon to indicate which vaccinations are historical. You can unselect one or more of the vaccinations to not send them to the registry. Once completed, click Send to Registry to send the vaccinations selected to the registry.
Allow the Scheduler to scroll up: The Scheduler previously started at 7:00 am so earlier appointments were not visible. Now the Scheduler allows you to scroll back to midnight and view/schedule those earlier appointments:
Prevent double booking in the Scheduler: When scheduling an appointment you will see this message if there is a conflict with more than one appointment at that time for either the client or the employee. If this is intended you can still save the appointment, it will just put a warning on the appointments that there appears to be a conflict.
Prevent double booking in the Scheduler: The Scheduler will warn of conflicts by putting a red banner on the conflicting appointments. If the conflicting appointment is dragged or edited to be at another time, the red conflict message will disappear.
New Way to View or Print CMS-1500 Claims If you use the CMS-1500 in Nightingale Notes, you need to be aware of a change that has been made. Previously, to print a CMS-1500, the Claim Template field in Pay Sources would have to be set to CMS Then, when the claim was created, the only option in the Generated tab for the claim was to view and print a CMS-1500 form. With this release, instead of selecting the CMS-1500 claim template, you will now select one of the Professional templates. When you generate the claim, the Generated tab will now contain 3 links for the claim: Download 837, Inspect 837 and Download CMS-1500.
ADT and CCD Enhancements The ADT feed has been enhanced to now include; home phone, work phone, primary care physician, and preferred language. This impacts agencies sending data to an HIE. In addition the Home phone, work phone and cell phone fields on the Name and Address tab now enforce correct formatting of ###-###-####. A “Notes” field has been added next to each phone number field for additional information like extension for example. The CCD medication section has been expanded to include route, frequency and medication notes.
