What will we do during Readers Workshop? As you read independently from the basket on your table, think about how a wise reader reads independently. Be ready to share about something you did that made you a wise reader today!

What is our “Smart Moves” section in our Sourcebook and how will we use it? What topics can you add to your list or begin drafting on today? Writers Workshop

Readers Workshop What are our behavior expectations when we are reading with others? As you read with others, be sure you are meeting our behavior expectations! On three post-it notes, write down what the person you are reading about did to help make a difference in their community.

RW: What does a wise reader do? Create an anchor chart about the choices wise readers make - look at a rubric. As you read independently, think about our anchor chart and our rubric – What type of a reader are you being today?

WW/SS: How can we make a change together? Complete our Sourcebook set up “Each of us can make a difference. Together, we can make a change.” –What does this quote mean to you? –What does it mean to us as a class this year? –How did your person from yesterday’s reading show this?
