ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! North Bay Nordic Ski Club ANNUAL SKI EXCHANGE! Saturday, November 8 th at the club on North Shore Road, 9 am – 12 pm Get a complete set of gently used skis, boots, poles at a fraction of retail price!

Children with Special Needs IEP – individual education plan for “identified” students Written commitment to ensure special needs are addressed in schools Goals & objectives for learning Summary of adaptations Ongoing record of programming Collaborative effort in developing an IEP (steps)

Individualized P.E. Curriculum – regular or modified Assess abilities – ASK THE STUDENT! Modify instruction Environment Rules, space, boundaries, instructional delivery, time Equipment Size, texture, weight, colour Personnel Use EA’s or peer tutors, but coach them! DO NOT RELEGATE THESE STUDENTS TO KEEPING SCORE!!!!

Work on your presentations for next Monday You will have ½ gym You will have 2 other groups You may wish to have one person in your group role play the special needs student You may wish to use some of your group members as participants (e.g. Half the group presenting the low org. game, the other half presenting the sport activity) Be sure to inform Ali of your equipment needs: or Ext.
