Philippines Slide Show Haylee and Deidre

Philippines Flag White stands for peace and purity. The White triangle represents equality and the Katipunan nationalist Organization. The 3 stars stand for the three main regions of the Philippines which are Luzon, Mindanao and Visayas. The sun represents independence. The rays of the sun are for the 8 provinces that led the Philippine uprising against Spanish rule. The top blue section is for patriotism and justice. The red symbolizes valor and the blood split for freedom and independence.

Philippines Map The Philippines are located between China and the United States and north of Australia. It is located in the Pacific Ocean and is surrounded by 5 Seas; South China Sea, Celebes Sea, Sulu Sea, Philippines Sea and the Bohol Sea as well as 2 Gulfs; Moro Gulf and Davao Gulf and 1 bay; Manila Bay.

Philippines Money Philippines currency consists of paper and coins like in the USA. Their money is called Pesos. 1 US Dollar = PHL Pesos

Philippines Religion There are 3 main religions of the Philippines. They are Christian, Animist and Muslim.
