Challenges  Author: How can I publish my work? Theses, dissertations Learning materials Articles, e-papers How do I define the usage rights of my e-materials?  Information Retriever: Where can I find these e-materials? How can I use e-material that I found?

Main issues  to make publishing of all kinds of e-materials easy  to make, store and monitor electronic publishing contracts  to make materials available and easily accessed

Technological solution Solution is based on two systems  Electronic publishing system/repository -Based on DSpace Open Source software -Uses collections to organize materials  Contract management system -Contracts are based on templates -Stores contracts both as text and as ODRL- documents -Enables automatic monitoring and access control

Final Outcome 2008  Publishing Chanel: a tool for easy publishing  System for managing publishing contracts  Nationally accessible local (university) electronic repositories
