Improving Wireless Infrastructure Completed 1.Completed the wireless improvement projects for: 1.Coronado Hall 2.Alvarado Hall 3.SRC 4.Child Care 5.Landscaping 6.Hokona Cellar 7.ECE 8.SRC Commons 2.Submitted the cost proposal to improve the coverage at the SUB 3.Upgraded the controller software to improve performance 4.Upgraded Airwave, to provide a more friendly user experience for planning and troubleshooting wireless issues 5.Continue to work with individual departments on how to address and resolve wireless coverage issues

Improving Wireless Infrastructure planning 1.Wireless Controllers update a)Aruba 6000 controller chassis upgrade to Aruba 7240 controller, to provide improved throughput and capacity b)The 7240 replaces a 6000 chassis with four controllers, and has the same AP capacity 2.Install and support AC capable access points a)Capable of using the 5GHz spectrum more efficiently allowing for speeds of up to 1.73Gbps to each client 3.Consolidate Lobo-WiFi and Lobo-SEC into one encrypted SSID for students, faculty, and staff 4.Use your Microsoft Active Directory account for wireless authentication 5.Continue to look for more ways to provide a seamless wireless experience for users, regardless of which device they use to connect to the network
