ROLLING FRICTION AND FLUID FRICTION PER 6

DEFINE ROLLING FRICTION ROLLING RESISTANCE, SOMETIMES CALLED ROLLING FRICTION OR ROLLING DRAG, IS THE FORCE RESISTING THE MOTION WHEN A BODY (SUCH AS A BALL, TIRE, OR WHEEL) ROLLS ON A SURFACE.

EXAMPLES OF ROLLING FRICTION ANY BALL OR WHEEL HAS ROLLING FRICTION WHEN ROLLED ON A SURFACE. SOME EXAMPLES OF ITEMS THAT HAVE ROLLING FRICTION ARE: TRUCK TIRES BIKE WHEELS SOCCER BALL, BASKETBALL, OR BASEBALL CAR TIRES SKATEBOARD TIRES RAILROAD STEEL WHEELS BOWLING BALL

UNDERSTANDING ROLLING FRICTION THE AMOUNT OF FRICTION CREATED BY A ROLLING OBJECT IS LESS THAN THE FRICTION CREATED BY NORMAL FORCE. IT IS DRAMATICALLY LESS THAN OTHER TYPES OF FRICTION, SUCH AS SLIDING FRICTION. THE ACTUAL ROLLING FRICTION CAN BE MEASURED AND EXPRESSED AS A NUMBER MULTIPLIED BY THE NORMAL FORCE.

FLUID FRICTION FLUID FRICTION IS A KIND OF FRICTION THAT OCCURS IN FLUIDS THAT ARE MOVING. FLUID FRICTION IS DEFINED AS THE FRICTION BETWEEN LAYERS WITHIN A THICK FLUID.

EXAMPLES OF FLUID FRICTION SOME EXAMPLES OF FLUID FRICTION ARE: TURTLES SWIMMING IN THE WATER A BOAT DRIVING ON THE WATER A PERSON USING SKIS ON THE WATER A HELICOPTER FLYING THROUGH THE AIR A BIRD FLYING IN THE AIR A FIRE PUMP BEING USED ARE GREAT EXAMPLES.

UNDERSTANDING FLUID FRICTION FLUID FRICTION IS WHEN A PERSON, ANIMAL OR OBJECT MOVES THROUGH WATER AT A LOW SPEED AND REACHES MAXIMUM SPEED. THE FRICTION EXPERIENCED BY A BODY WHEN IT MOVES THROUGH A FLUID DUE TO RELATIVE MOVING FLUID LAYERS.
