 She believed that she caused her mom to leave…as a result she thought:  I’m not lovable, I’m fat, I’m a bad daughter, I’m not worth staying for.  She stopped “feeling” so she ate sweets instead.  She started to want to please everyone so they would love her.

 What is your personal truth?  Is your personal truth helping or hurting you?

 What would people write on your slate?  What are you saying to yourself that impacts the choices you make?

 Get honest with yourself  Get honest with yourself. Listen to your internal dialogue that is causing you to make the choices that you are making.  Surround yourself with positive people  Surround yourself with positive people; People who are able to write positive stuff on your slate. You may have to distance yourself from people who are bringing you down.  Realize your worth  Realize your worth. Learn how to accept compliments from people who are trying to lift you up.

 There is good news and bad news… “You have to make the choice.” The only person you have to control to fix this is you. You need to take a journey with a purpose. You need to set yourself free. You need to ask yourself… “How can I put myself back in control?” The bottom line… “YOU HAVE TO WANT TO CHANGE…”

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Born in Russia Came to America as an immigrant This model is built upon the perception that some needs take precedence over others. The animal or physical needs were placed at the bottom and the human needs at the top. Each level of the pyramid is some what dependent on the previous level for most people. People behave in ways to satisfy their need(s).

The need to escape loneliness and love alienation; to feel accepted and to be a part of something. Which need is being thwarted A person’s need for love and belongingness.

If this need is not met, a person may feel inferior, weak, helpless, worthless… Which need is being thwarted if a person feels any of these ways

Self Actualization: A calling or vocation. On going process to become all that you can be.

Personality Is a mix of how you feel, think, and behave that make you different from anyone else.

A Healthy Personality is when you… Accept yourself. Live life with a constant renewed appreciation. Think for yourself and allow others to think for themselves. Trust your own thoughts and feelings. Are able to build and maintain relationships. Evaluate your actions.
