Concurrent Credit Requirements  FHSU Concurrent Credit Eligibility Requirements ◦To enroll in FHSU concurrent credit classes, EXCEPT College Algebra, a student must meet ONE of the following: ◦ACT Composite Score of 21 ◦Combined verbal & mathematical score on the SAT Reasoning Test of at least 1000 ◦A Selection Index score on the PSAT/NMSQT of at least 150 ◦A STAR Reading score in the 50 th percentile or better ◦A composite score of at least 21 on the PLAN test ◦To enroll in College Algebra at FHSU, as student must: 1)Have scores on the ACT math subtest and the ACT science subtest that combine for a total of 40 or higher, and have at least an 18 on both subtests; 2)OR have a score of at least 15 on the FHSU math placement exam.  Different scores required depending on which college is sponsoring class  Enrollment for Spring Concurrent Courses ◦January 12 th from 12-5:30 p.m. in the HHS library

NCAA If there is a possibility of you playing Division I or II sports, you must… Register with NCAA ◦Required by Division I and II Schools ◦NCAA ACT Code is 9999 Register online—it is simple ◦Preferably register by spring of junior year. ◦Registration fee is approximately $75 ◦Go to See your counselor.

Military Academies A Military Academy education is all expense paid and is valued well over $300,000. Military Academies include: ◦U.S. Air Force Academy ◦U.S. Naval Academy ◦U.S. Military Academy (West Point) ◦U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point, NY). Junior year is the time to consider them and begin preliminary application process in spring. Mid-September of senior year is often the deadline for Congressional Nomination Applications.

ROTC  It is different from a military academy because students can attend any university that offers ROTC.  Often can receive ROTC scholarship money  Graduate as a second lieutenant  Reps will be here at College Career Planning Conference
