OCEANS By Sean Bailey

OCEANS ARE BIG AND VERY DEEP Oceans are huge and deep. The Mariana trench is the deepest recorded part in all the oceans. It is 36,000 feet deep. The Pacific Ocean is the biggest covering 69,375,000 square miles, or 35% of the earth.

MANY ANIMALS LIVE IN THE OCEAN The ocean is home to many animals. Over 230,000 species have been recorded living in the ocean.

MOST OF OXYGEN COMES FROM THE OCEAN 50 to 85% of our oxygen comes from the ocean. Tiny ocean plants called phytoplankton produce this oxygen.

OCEANS ARE DANGEROUS Many people enjoy playing at the beach, but the beach is also dangerous. Some people are killed by sharks or stung by a jellyfish. People can drown in the ocean too.

THE END!
