Talent Ambassador Team

Talent Ambassador? What’s that? The role of the student ambassadors is designated for students with excellent communication skills who will have the opportunity to dive into the field of Guest Relations and learn to understand how high profile clientele are serviced. This team will be responsible for meeting with all the guest chefs participating in the events and thanking them for their participation on behalf of festival director, Lee Schrager. Each Talent Ambassador Associate will be assigned a list of chefs that they will be responsible to visit during the event. Talking points as well as maps will be provided to you the day of the event so that you may know what to say as well as the locations of your chefs. Once all Talent Ambassadors finish visiting their assigned chefs, we will then go to the next event. In this position, you will have the unique opportunity to network with well-known chefs and experience various SOBE WFF events all in one day.

Parking Information Parking is available at all City of Miami Beach Parking Garages and street meters Receipts due on or before February 27, 2015 at 5:00 PM There will be NO exceptions. You MUST submit parking receipts for reimbursement – we are not responsible for your lost receipts. You will also have the opportunity to submit your parking receipts at the MMC campus after the festival from Monday – Friday at PC 249 (advising office) You will be reimbursed a MAXIMUM of $15.00 per day for parking - we do not reimburse for Valet, Taxis or Parking in Excess of $15.00 per day.

Credentials & sign-in You will need to SIGN IN & OUT with me at the beginning and end each day with your Panther ID. Credentials will be given to you to be able to enter each event. ** You CANNOT get in an event without credentials.

Credentials & sign-in Consider arriving at least 15 minutes before your shift. Traffic and parking will be rough so allow extra time. Meeting place: Student check-in table at North Venue (Check-in/out with Leira) Contact person: Leira Fombrun Contact’s Ph. #: Please bring your Panther ID with you on-site. You MUST check in and out with Leira when you arrive and before leaving. You will NOT get credit if you do not check in AND out.

Meals Lunches and/or snacks will be provided to you. However, we recommend eating before you arrive and packing a small snack and a few dollars in case you’d like to eat something different than what is provided.

Important Details Talent Ambassadors will start meeting chefs 30 minutes prior to each event. Talent Ambassadors should only spend 3-5 minutes max on each chef. Most chefs will not want to be chatty, as they will be prepping for the event, so don’t idle around

Protocol We will provide you with a large stack of Hospitality Suite business cards. If a chef has a problem or question which you cannot answer (i.e. event tickets, complaints), have them call the suite.

Please Don’t It is important to stress that you are representing the Festival Director, so please be extremely professional. NO drinking NO fighting NO passing credentials NO making lines as guests NO asking for pictures ** NO small talk, unless the chef initiates the conversation

Scholarship By participating in the Festival, you are eligible to receive scholarship. Scholarship amounts were created by FIU and will vary based on the event and the rigorousness or skill required for your position. Once your essay is received and we receive word on good standing of your participation, your name will be submitted to the Financial Aid office for processing. Financial Aid will work hard to process your scholarship before next semester. No Essay = No Scholarship In order to be eligible for a scholarship students MUST submit their essay before Monday, February 27th, 2015 at 5:00 PM - there will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
