Presentation transcript:

 We graphic designers create images and design solutions that have a high visual impact.  Graphic design, also known as communication design, is the art and practice of planning and projecting ideas and experiences with visual and textual content. The form of the communication can be physical or virtual, and may include images, words, or graphic forms.  Uses computer software to create images  We create logos, graphics, brochures, newsletters, posters, signs, Web pages, books, eBooks, and any other type of visual communicationlogosgraphics, brochuresvisual communication  Create and refine art and copy layouts

 Values of a graphic designer, we try to make a better world and often have a positive view on the world   Tasks and responsibilities meeting with clients, creating ideas for projects, creating concepts for the clients basic needs, think creatively, create designs that meet the clients needs   Working with people data and things- in the graphic design you would need to work with your commissioners and possibly other designers to effectively get the design needed to complete the commissioners request   Work environment- you will often work at your own home, in your own studio, an office with other designers on group projects, or in an office by yourself   Working hours- often if you aren’t self employed you will have a normal schedule of 9-5 but if you’re self employed you often have deadlines you must fulfill 

 Aptitudes and abilities- like animation you must have an artistic talent and a understanding of software's such as paint tool sai or Gimp or Photoshop, but you deal more directly with people in graphic design than in animation and you must be able to envision peoples requests and “put them to paper”   Education and training –also like animation you need to understand art and have a talent and ability for it so a fine arts degree would assist in this and make you're work more likely to be credited and such   Salary and benefits -$44,150 per year $21.22 per hour (experienced level designers may earn more)   Career outlook – graphic designers play an important part in the business field and will be needed and jobs will be open as time moves on   International outlook- the international outlook is quite good for a skilled designer and they will be needed in the future and they are being needed more and more as things get moved to computers because computers cannot create or think creatively

 Graphic design – an office, home studio, or studio with other designers

 An animator produces multiple images called frames, which when sequenced together rapidly create an illusion of movement known as animation.  Needs an extreme amount of artistic talents and knowledge of computer software  We tend to work in 2d modeling and 3d modeling  Cartoon animators create animated narrative sequences by combining artistic skills with talents in many areas, such as comedy, drama, advertising and computer modeling.

 Values of an animator usually defines the quality of the work you complete  Tasks and responsibilities - creating story boards, designing characters and models, building detailed frames of the animation  Working with people, data and things – in this industry working with your animation team as well as your directors and such is a major part of this job  Work environment- the work space can vary, as you may have to complete tasks in the studio or your own home  Working hours- working hours vary especially depending on the studio youre working with and the project but usually many projects have due dates and many time limits  Aptitudes and abilities – you need to be able to work with others and have a knowledge or both art and computer software.  Salary and benefits $61,370 per year $29.50 per hour

 Education and training - a basic knowledge and talent of art and computer software are the basic requirements but affine arts degree would assist you on your career path a bachelors degree in animation  Career outlook-the outlook is good once you have accrued a job although more than 57% of animators were self employed  International career outlook- the international outlook is much brighter than the united states outlooks, and will be needed in the future more than ever

 Animation – home studio or group studio location

 Lifestyle goal: be financially stable, live in a moderate sized house with enough room for a small home studio, enjoy myself and use my artistic talent for the good of society (and have a cute dog )  These goals are attainable with all of the careers chosen

 All of these careers fall into the arts category, which is what I’ve spent countless hours trying to get my abilities to the point where I could bring myself into this field.

(I also do digital work but my computer doesn’t like to work ) (I also sometimes add color but not today )
