Luke 11:1-13

What To Pray  Thanksgiving and supplication – Col. 4:2-4  Asking for what is proper – James 4:1-4  Including, most importantly, forgiveness  And with praise to Him

Persistence in Prayer  Note that this is different from being stubborn and not wanting to be told “No” – 2 Cor. 12:7-10  Prayer is not to be a rare occurrence – Rom. 12:10-13  Repetition shows how much we desire what we’re praying for

Remember Who You’re Praying To  God is not like us, impatient or unkind – Matt. 7:9-11  And He is not “too busy” – 1 Pet. 5:6-7  He knows what we need before we ask – Matt. 6:5-8  Yet the answer might not be what we want; be content!

Conclusion How often do you pray about what’s on your mind? Do you give up easily? God’s message is plain: pray, pray, and pray some more. If it means that much to you, pray! Our heavenly Father knows what we need.
