We Pray for Peace After the Terrorist Attacks in Paris November 2015

Almighty God, We do not know why this terrible attack happened in Paris this weekend. You know all those people who have been hurt. You know all those people who have been killed. You know all those people who are still missing. You know all those people who are helping to rescue people in need. You even know the people who caused this terrible thing to happen. Help us to find ways in which our school can help our world family who are hurting right now. We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen

Blessed are the Peacemakers

We pray for those people who lost their lives in the attacks in Paris this weekend. May they already be in Heaven with You. Lord, in your mercy – hear our prayer We pray for those people who are now grieving and shocked. May they feel your love and comfort today. Lord, in your mercy – hear our prayer We pray for those innocent people who have been injured. May your love show through the work of the rescuers, doctors and nurses. Lord, in your mercy – hear our prayer We pray for the police and army who continue to try and protect us from badness and lawlessness. Lord, in your mercy – hear our prayer

We pray for the people of France, Living in the city of Paris, in the country or living somewhere else in the world. Lord, in your mercy – hear our prayer We pray for the Muslim communities of France and England, That they are not be blamed for the actions of a few bad people. Lord, in your mercy – hear our prayer We pray for ourselves, That you will help us to become peacemakers in our own lives. Lord, in your mercy – hear our prayer

Lord, Something terrible happened in our world this weekend. But I am too little to do anything. I am too far away to help. I am not strong enough to lift things. I don’t know the answers. I am not experienced enough to solve the problems. Does that mean I should do nothing? Please hear my prayer and send my love to our world family today. Please help me to be a Peacemaker in my own life. Amen
