We will be our own FAMILY… So, we need to agree on how our family will work together and what we hope to accomplish in the next 9 months.

Let’s start with general rules for Wright Elementary:  Be Safe  Be Responsible  Be Respectful

Be a hero the “Wright” way! In the Cafeteria: Eat Visit Clean Up

Be a hero the “Wright” way! In the Hallways: Straight Smiling Silent

Be a hero the “Wright” way! In the Restroom: Go Flush Wash Leave

Be a hero the “Wright” way! At Recess:  Play Responsibly  Play Respectfully  Play Safely

To help you be accountable for your actions…  We will use the Wright Responsibility Folder.  It will stay in your backpack most of the time.  If you are not being safe, responsible, and respectful, then you will receive a “mark” on my clipboard & in your folder.

In our classroom, what are some ways we can be safe?

In our classroom, what are some ways we can be responsible?

In our classroom, what are some ways we can be respectful?

Imagine our classroom if everyone here is safe, responsible, and respectful.  What does that look like?  What does that sound like?  What would that feel like?  What would you accomplish?  What new things might you try?  How would our class be different than other classrooms?

I think an organized classroom is important for safety, responsibility, and respect.

Let’s get organized!  LOCKER:  empty backpack  lunch  jacket  Manila paper  Lined paper  Construction paper  Extra folders & spirals  YOUR pencils, scissors, markers, and glue  Dictionary

How are you getting home?

Are you coming back tomorrow?  Attendance is VERY important!  Please be on time & join us in the gym for Morning Gathering at 7:50am.  Breakfast is at 7:30am in the Café.  If you are absent, you need to bring a note from home telling why you were absent.  You will have a TON of work to do when you return. You WILL have study hall.

We are going to have a SUPER school year!
