Mice The animal I researched was the mouse. They are mammals. They live in the woodlands of New York state.

Physical Attributes Mice have unique features. The average mouse is 2-6 in. long, which is very small. They can come in colors of gray, brown or white fur. Also, they have a long tail.

Habitat and shelter Mice live in such places like burrows (holes in the ground), houses, celars and buildings. Some like soft nests, fields and woods. Mice live all over the world!

Diet and Predators Mice like to eat many things. Some like to eat insects, while others eat leaves and plants. Others nibble on nutricious nuts/seeds. Even some eat our food! Yummy yum, yum! Some predators of the mouse are snakes, cats, dogs, owls and hawks.

Interesting facts Mice have very cool facts about them. They are great swimmers. WOW! Female mice can have 10 litters each year! Also, their front teeth keep growing all their lives! SO COOL!

Conclusion In conclusion, mice are amazing animals. Since they live in New York state, it wouldn’t be surprising if you saw one. So keep an eye out, but be aware to keep your distance. Wild animals, like mice should only be looked at, not touched!
