Translation Analysis Choose a passage from Beowulf that is at least 15 lines. Write down the passage: In Old English From the Heaney translation From the Raffel translation

Use the following website to translate from the Old English on your own: Translate (at least) the first five lines of your selected text. You can use the Heaney and Raffel translations to help if you get stuck, but try to translate as much as you can on your own.

Write two or three paragraphs comparing and contrasting the different translations. Be sure to include your opinion—which translation do you feel is more accurate? Why?
