What is a Political Action Committee (PAC)? A PAC is an organization that raises funds from individuals to contribute to campaigns of legislators that further the PAC’s mission.

American Dental Association’s Political Action Committee ADPAC is bi-partisan and supports federal candidates who: Champion issues that will be important to your practice, patients and the public Understand the importance of dentistry in America What is ADPAC?

Who is eligible to participate in ADPAC? Members of the ADA U.S. dental students who are U.S. Citizens or permanent Green Card holders Spouses and families

What does ADPAC do? Raise and spend political money Grassroots and advocacy education

ADPAC in the 2014 Election Cycle- The Power of Three in the 114 th Congress Congressman Mike Simpson, DMD ID-02 Congressman Paul Gosar, DDS AZ-04 Congressman Brian Babin, DDS TX-36

ADPAC in the 2014 Election Cycle In the US Senate, ADPAC backed the winning candidate in 27 of the 30 races ADPAC participated in- a 90% success rate. In the US House, ADPAC backed the winning candidate in 283 of the 305 races ADPAC participated in- a 93% success rate. ADPAC monitored state races where dentists were involved and gave where certain criteria were met. Total 2014 cycle spending: $2,387,000

How does ADPAC Compare to other PACs? ADPAC plays a huge role in defining the ADA as a “Major Player” on Capitol Hill In 2013, ADPAC was the second largest healthcare PAC in the country, behind the American Society of Anesthesiologists In the 2014 cycle, ADPAC raised over $3.6 million dollars
