April 23, 1920 The Holiday of National Sovereignty and Children

The Grand National Assembly of Turkey was established this day, and to commemorate the event, April 23 was proclaimed a national holiday in 1921.

In addition to holding many domestic celebratory events such as stadium performances, Turkey also houses “International April 23 Children's Festival”, where groups of children from other countries are invited to participate in the festivities while staying at Turkish families' homes. In some countries, Festivals are celebrated with children of different nationalities.

Our Religious Festivals

This celebration is one of the two greatest festivals in the Muslim community around the world. The idea behind this celebration is to sacrifice( sheep, camel or cow), to have peace and to ask God forgiveness. Festival of Sacrifices
