Clean Ganga Actionable Policies and Measures

Restriction of further development Right now we faced natural disaster due to a lot of construction of Dams near villages. We also faced natural calamities due to misuse of natural resources. We need to stop further development near river boundaries.

Restriction of Factory Establishment We need to concentrate on factory establishment should be restricted near to Ganga. Wastage pollution produced by various units are also making Ganga pollutant.

Imposement of fines I was really impressed when Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed country at Varanasi. I would like to bring we also as common man commit a lot of mistakes. When child commit mistake we give them punishment. There should be fine on citizens if they try to make our mother dirty.

Digital monitoring of Ganga Why to impose a lot of man force for monitoring people that are polluting Ganga? It would be better if we can install cameras near all major places and monitor people polluting Ganga. We also need to think of certain innovation by which we can track if wastage or sewage material is polluting Ganga.

Restriction of cleaning clothes I have seen a lot of people clean clothes near river. Even they use soap and polluting river. We need to stop all this immediately else fine need to be charged.

River Police at all Major Tourist Places Varanasi is one of most religious places of our country. Similarly a lot of places in india where Ganga is worshipped. We need to make sure all these major tourism spot need to be monitored closely. As we have separate police force for railway. We must have similar police force for Ganga.

Exploring Ganga Purification Options As we all know Ganga is not in good condition now. We need to explore major options and start working out on options. We also need to adopt some strategy from western countries. Also there must be separate department continuously working on the project of Ganga Purification.

Educating People at Rural Area Any river flows through rural as well as urban areas. Urban areas can be monitored easily as compared to rural areas. We need to start appointing people that will look after educating people at rural area for importance of Ganga.

Corporate Involvement for Ganga As a corporate social responsibility, all major corporate must devote few days for purification of Ganga. We need to make sure apart from contributing for world we will also contribute something for our country.

Need to Gather Volunteers We are having man force in our country. Many people can volunteer and contribute in some manner for purification of Ganga. We could gather many people and involve them. We also need those people that can contribute at root level as well.

Thank You Himanshu Joshi
