Grade 6 Transition Movie Project

Why do we have to do this?

Do you still remember this time last year?

Do you remember your thoughts about moving from the Primary School to the Senior School?

How did you feel?

What were your questions?

What were your worries?

What are the differences between the Primary School and the Senior School?

What are the best things about the Senior School?

You are the experts on how to be a successful Grade 6 student.

You are going to help to make our grade 5 students transition to the Senior School a success.

You are going to make a movie for the Grade 5 Transition

There will be 3 different projects you may choose from. 1.Questions/Answers & Worries about the Senior school. 2.Advice & Best Things about the Senior School. 3.Differences between the Primary School and the Senior School.

Group 1 Think about this time last year. How did you feel? What were your questions? What were your worries? You will brainstorm a list of questions & worries Grade 5 students might have. You will then make a video using your brainstorm.

Group 2 Think about this time last year. Now you are an expert on grade 6. You possess all the infinite wisdom about what it means to be a successful Grade 6 student. What advice could you give to a grade 5 student? What are some of the best things about the Senior School. You will brainstorm a list of advice & best things about the Senior School. You will then make a video using your brainstorm.

Group 3 Think about this time last year. Now you are an expert on grade 6. You possess all the infinite wisdom about what it means to be a successful Grade 6 student. What are some differences between the Primary School and the Senior School? You will brainstorm a list of the differences between the Primary and the Senior School. You will then make a video using your brainstorm.

What are the Project Requirements? All Groups will work together in making one movie per group. All Groups will brainstorm. Your movie will be between 3-4 minutes. You will use grade 6 actors only !!! Sound will be clear!!! Message will be clear!!! Movie will be understandable!!! Movie will be engaging to the audience (Grade 5 students)
