people  Muhammad is important because, He taught people about Allah.  Angel Gabriel is important because, he sent a command to Muhammad “go and preach about Allah”.  Allah is important because, he is the god that the Islam's worship.

places Mecca, is important because, everybody faces Mecca when they pray. Mecca today is know as Saudi Arabia. Jerusalem is the holy city for Muslims as well as other religions. Pakistan has one of the largest mosques in the world. It is called Badshahi Mosque and it holds nearly 100,00 worshippers.

Text and documents  Koran, also spelled Quaran, is the holy book of Islam. It is includes many stories that appear in Jewish and Christian scriptures. Muslims consider the Koran as the divine word of God.

Gods and Godesses Islam believe in only one God. The god that they worship is named Allah. When you worship one god this is known as monotheism.

Symbols of Islam Allah means God in Arabic. The star and crescent is the best-known symbol used to represent Islam The color green has a special place in Islam, and is often used to represent it among other world religions. One can often find it in mosques and other important places, as well as on the flag of Saudi Arabia. Some say green was Muhammad’s favorite color and that he wore a green cloak and turban, while others believe it symbolizes vegetation and life.

Origins Hinduism began in the region of Arabia. It has spread across the continent of Southeast Asia and China. Today there are over 1 billion Muslims in the world.

Why religion's spread Religion spreads for many reasons. One is migration of people. Another is trade, when people trade, they don’t only trade goods, but religious beliefs as well.

Other facts It is the youngest of the seven major religions. It is the second largest in the world. Muslims believe in the five Pillars.

The 5 pillars of Islam 1.The Shahadah or the declarations of faith. 2.The Salaat means Muslims must pray 5 times a day. 3.The Zakaat means to give to give to the poor. 4.The Saum, Muslims fast during the month of Ramadan. 5.The Haj means a pilgrimage to mecca. Every Muslim is expected to go to Mecca before they die.
