3 Difference between MIS and CS n Computer Science creates information- enabling technologies (computers, etc.) n CS deals with technology for its own sake n CS is math-oriented n MIS concentrates on the use of computer and information technology to solve business problems n MIS is business and management oriented; however, a level of technical capability is required.
