Sustainable Singapore 2030 ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

Carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) is the greatest contributor to the greenhouse effect!

Carbon emissions at record high of 400 parts per million CO2-in-atmosphere-hits-historic-high-US The Earth has not seen these levels of CO2 in three to five million years, long before humans existed, in a time when temperatures were several degrees Celsius warmer and the sea level was metres higher than today, experts say.

1. Carbon Calculator Go to the climatechange.sg

Use the Carbon calculator as a reference and use it to estimate the carbon footprint of your design/product Show your working and leave your answer in One significant figure Units of ‘kg of CO 2 emissions/year’

2. Offset your emissions Propose at least three ways where your design/product is able to offset your emissions 5&routine=2&topic=2 5&routine=2&topic=2 Go to the website and see what are some of the ways where you can offset your emissions

Summary 1.Calculate your Carbon footprint 2.Come up with three ways to offset your carbon footprint
