Chapter One Activity With a partner, complete assignment four (#4) (page 41) in Exploring Globalization. Amongst other things, you are to choose ONE identity shaping area from the 60’s, 70’s 80’s or 90’s (food, fashion, entertainment, music, fads, pop stars, etc) You may have to choose numerous examples in your area to illustrate how these areas reflected teen identity. I will not tell you how many examples to use, so DON’T ASK!! For example: In the 2000’s, teenagers use the identity shaping area of Technology to express themselves. Examples may include, cell- phones, MP3’s, on-line chatting, etc. It will be more difficult, but you may complete this on your own. You will get very limited class time to work on this, so expect HOMEWORK! I have the library booked for this on Friday! This is due one week from today – That is, Tuesday, September 25 th the beginning of class. Pay close attention to the Evaluation Rubric!
