One World Week is a national charity* OWW is not linked to any one faith or political party. It encourages involvement from all. You’re welcome to join us if you: enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds are concerned for other people around the world want to explore shared concerns such as: *Charity Number overcoming poverty - seeking justice - building peace - surviving sustainably. What’s the point? We want people to: - meet together and - celebrate living in One World with all its diversity. We want to explore issues such as: - food and water supplies, - climate change, and - living in harmony with each other and with nature. “ We must all take care of each other for us all to be secure” Dr Mustafa Ali, Secretary General of African Council of Religious Leaders, April 2008

When is it? One World Week 2010 is 17th to 24th October but you can celebrate at any time. The theme for 2010 is: Peacing Together One World creating a culture of peace for our children

How could you get involved? We can help with ideas, materials etc How to find out more? Have a look at the national website : We’d love to have more people organising events where they live or work. And we’d welcome community groups getting involved – maybe organise your own event?.
