 CENT-1 penny  One cent doesn’t buy much anymore.  SENT-past tense of send  Sheila sent me her address.  SCENT-good smell  The scent of the flowers is delightful. MEMORY TIP: CENT with a “c” is one Coin. Replace the “d” in SEND to make it SENT.

 KNOW-to recognize or understand  I know the answer to the question.  NO-the opposite of yes  No, I do not like your blue hair. Memory Trick: KNOW with a “k” is the root word of “Knowledge”
