Project history – The “what” eFolio Minnesota is a statewide electronic portfolio infrastructure that permits eligible users the ability to create and administer their own education/career web- based repository.

Project history – The “who” Eligible eFolio Minnesota users include: Minnesota students of any age and at any institution (K-12, two-year, four- year, etc); Any Minnesota resident; Any employee of a Minnesota political sub- division

Project history – The “why” The Minnesota State Colleges and Universities received federal funding through the Department of Education to enhance our e-learning programs and services with a focus on the needs of the 21 st century learner. The service aspect of the project provided the financial support for eFolio Minnesota.

Project history – The “how” There are/were a number of reasons for the success of eFolio Minnesota: Project structure – student, worker and educator groups; Project assumptions – one-size does not fit all, nothing but “net”, KISS, and yours for a lifetime; Key partnerships – Avenet, CareerOneStop

eFolio Minnesota today As of October 1, 2003 we have 8,391 registered users (5,273 of them students). Double digit monthly growth in the number of users. Over 1 million hits a month
