Answer Column The Plains Indians ate mostly bison/buffalo, so they had plenty of hides to cover their tipis. The tipis were used because they were portable to travel after the Bison or Buffalo for food.

Answer Column Northeast used long houses. Used wooden poles and posts covered with bark and leaves. Why? Multifamily, natural resource is trees, and keep out cold climate, permanent structure
