Master Slide For PowerPoint 2003

Why MASTER slide?  Consistent look  Easiest way to establish consistency  If select design template—can change it  Master slide allows decision on: font size and style background choice bullet choice

What is it?  Contains objects that appear on each slide in Presentation  Single slide that can be designed once then applied to many slides  Controls the appearance of other slides  Only have to create an item once Automatically includes on every slide

Changing Master Slide  The Slide Master has boxes already set up for Slide title--AKA Master Title Text—AKA Master Body  Format determines the way text will look  Slides can always be made to look different from the Slide Master  Slide Master gives consistent starting point  Slide Master is flexible Move objects around Add art Add headings or labels Change colors and fonts

Change it ALL  Change the entire presentation Change the format of the Slide Master  PowerPoint will then change all slides

Creating a Master Slide  Open PowerPoint 2003  Choose Master from the View menu  Select Slide Master from the Master submenu

Formatting Master Title Style  Click on the Title Area for AutoLayouts.  Choose Font from the Format menu change the font style, color, and size of the text  Formatting will be same on each new slides Title Area

Format Bullets  Choose Slide Master from the View menu  Highlight the first line of text in Object Area for Autolayouts  Choose Bullet from the Format Menu  Pick a different style bullet

Format it all….  In addition to formatting text & bullets Slide Background Slide Color Scheme
