The Innovation Summary of the innovation needs to cover the following titles: Chosen industry (one industry): Public Services Chosen technologies: Mobility Objective: We have developed a prototype of fully automated home that features complete luxury and highest level security arrangements. Approach: The approach and motivation for this innovation is urban life, keeping safety and security in consideration a luxurious home is designed to match with fast moving city life. Describe the innovation developed: The most important feature of the home is that electrical appliances can be controlled from anywhere through a protected webpage. The automated home is well equipped with various sensors which are SMS controlled. The main entrance is password protected & employed with sms notification in case of any breach. Image Processing based Garage gate opening is also employed. Other remarkable features include Automatic Water Level indicator, LPG indicator, alarming & sms notification in case of security & safety breach etc. Maximum Points: 10

Compelling need for the innovation Due to rat race in city life one cannot find time for home management and security, thus a dire need was felt to design a home that suits the requirement of common masses with user friendly control and reliable automation system. Considerable innovation has been made in security of the home which not only protects but alerts in case of any malfunction. This has been done to cope up with the increased cases of robbery and crime in cities. The security system is also equipped in contacting Police Station in case of utmost emergency. An important innovation has been made in remotely monitoring and controlling the house which finds need for people who are consistently away from their homes. Other features are innovated in accordance with the luxury requirements of urban people, whose demands keep on increasing day in and out. This fully automated home caters to their needs by considerably reducing human efforts in maintaining and controlling the house. Maximum Points: 20

Impact The motivation for taking this project was the ever widening city life. Trends show a tremendous increase in urbanization across India and the Globe. Catering to the urban areas this innovation is here to stay. The success can be evaluated on number of installations in a given duration of time. The impact can well be judged on user review and peer competition. With State of the Art automation and user friendly interface this can prove utile even for not so tech savy mass, thus proving a huge impact of the innovation. The most important impact of this system will be its installing cost which by our standards will be considerably lower than the like peers. This System though designed for domestic use can be employed in offices, hospitals, industries etc thus adding to the impact of the Innovation. And as mentioned earlier this system is here to stay, and so this system will keep on impacting people with its ever so new innovations which will keep growing to match demands of the people. All in all the USP of the innovation is advanced automation with lesser capital and its ability to evolve to meet the needs of the time. Maximum Points: 30

Implementation We are in process to develop the prototype of our idea of which major portion is already implemented rather only voice recognition garage door opening module is under construction and we are pretty hopeful that it would be completed within two weeks. The prototype design contains following modules which can very well be implemented in real households with the change of necessary mechanical assembly Ethernet controlled domestic appliances: The domestic appliances of the automation are controlled via ethernet, the process is undergoing to control them via a secured webpage through internet using LAN. (INSTALLED) SMS Alert Password Gate: The main entrance of the house is password protected which on malfunction sounds buzzer and sends an alert sms which in turn on feedback is able to contact police station. In addition in case of break opening sensors are mounted to alert the user through buzzer & sms notification. Owner is enabled to retrieve and change the password via sms. Each and every possibility of security breach has been examined and improved upon using high level programming. (INSTALLED) Image Processing Controlled Garage Gate: The garage gate is equipped with a video camera and image processing system which detects the particular car and automatic garage opening is initialized. A substitute system of remote control opening for other cars is also employed. (INSTALLED) Gas Detection and Temperature Monitoring In order to enhance safety and luxury two more systems of LPG detection and temperature monitoring is also provided in the house. In case of LPG leakage, a notification sms is sent to the owner instantly. On the web page the temperature can be monitored instantaneously (INSTALLED) Maximum Points: 50

Automatic Water level Indicator: A very versatile facility of water level indication as well as automatic filling of the tank when the water reaches a specific level is installed in the house.(INSTALLED) Voice Controlled gate: Process is undergoing to install voice controlled gate in the house. To build upon its existing security features. (under construction). Remote controlled windows: Work is being done to make all the windows remote controlled to provide ease and luxury to the residents of the house.(under construction). Circuit Room: One of the highlights of the house is that the control of the house is through one circuit room that houses all the required hardware and software platform. The software is well protected from penetrations. Power distribution system is very much efficient to cope with any power failure. Battery backup is also provided to keep the circuits working in case of any defects. This prototype is designed keeping in consideration the real household. For the case of demonstration the prototype is used for which our estimated budget is Rs 6000/-. As listed above this system can very well be installed on households with necessary arrangements. The Competitive Advantage The Competitive Advantage of this system are many of which some important ones are listed here. Apart from being user friendly this system ensures highest level of security which alerts the user even if the software coding is penetrated. This automation system can also be installed in shops, hospitals, industries with a little change of mechanical assembly. This system is relatively cheap compared to other systems of its type, which adds to its competitive advantage Apart from mechanical assemblies this system is permanent and can be relocated easily without much trouble. There are independent lines for each module which ensures that if a module is disrupted, other modules are active and functional. Also battery backup for each module enables functionality in case of power breaches or failures. The system provides different types of automation for different rooms linked with a single system, thus management and controllability are simple. It also ensures that control hardware are easily kept and protected in a single room. Maximum Points: 30
