Power Point on Robots WEV

The New Robot Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna CRIM Lab (an Engineering lab) in Pisa, Italy has created a robot that uses GPS. It comes at your command to take away your trash and dispose it. This robot is call the “Dust Bot.” It has a battery that allows it to travel 10 miles. It can hold a total of 70 pounds of garbage.

How does this effect us? This new Robot throws away things that would prove a problem for the average person. The goal of the programmers in Italy’s is to make it easier to dispose of trash. A common problem is that normally people can’t find a trash disposal receptacle. This makes them throw trash on the ground to get rid of it, or throw it into some ones car, basket, or just about anything.

Where In the World?

Tell me, how does this contraption work? Robotic Programming along with GPS tracking lets the robot know where disposal containers are. The GPS also shows where someone is when they call the robot. DustBot only travels at 2 miles per hour, so it takes a while to get some where.

What is the point of this weird Robot? To help the common person dispose of their trash and create a cleaner place. In many cities around the world, cities are very dirty and filthy which makes it a pain to get around. Normally, no one likes their living place to be dirty, this includes town, cities, ect.. That is the main point of the robot, and that’s how it would be funded - by people who want to clean up their city.
