2 IT Topics Role of the IT Functional Champion IT Support of BBs IT Support of Six Sigma Projects Discussion Topics: How to prioritize Six Sigma Projects in IT? How to prioritize Six Sigma data requests against Tyco Committee data requests? How to manage the IT costs?

3 Business Unit IT Functional Champion A single point of contact for 6S within the BU. Coordinate and Support BB Laptop’s for BU. Liason between BB’s and IT in support of 6S Projects. Extract data from IT systems Prioritize 6S Projects against IT Projects Assign IT Resources to 6S Projects

4 IT Support of BBs - Provisioning of Equipment & SW TFS 6S Group to provide laptop to those that do not currently possess one. Cost and asset will be transferred to BBs Business Unit. Dell D600 (Unit covered by Dell for 3 years) −BB - $3, −MBB- $3, MS Licensing covered under BU MS Enterprise Agreement Laptop PC’s not provided by TFS 6S Group must meet minimum requirements to handle software −BB - $1, −MBB - $1, TFS 6S Group to provide 6S Software/Tools TFS 6S Group to provide web-based Project Tracking Tool

5 IT Support of BBs - Support of HW/SW BU IT Helpdesks will provide BBs with Tier 1 Support −HW −Software Configuration −Remote dial-in capability Software vendors will provide Tier 2 Support for 6S Software ITG will provide Tier 2 Support for Project Tracking Tool Dell will provide BU Specific Image Re-load for new Laptops BU IT will be provided CD’s and Documentation to load/re-load existing laptops

6 IT Support of 6S Projects Data Gathering Assign data request to appropriate IT person Ensure timely response to data extraction requests Data Mapping Provide list of system data owners, data types(Customer, Financial, Inventory, etc) and associated IT resources. Provide contact information for the IT resources Obtaining IT Resources Assist in the prioritization of 6S Projects and IT Projects Assign IT Resources to 6S Projects

7 Discussion Topics How will 6S Projects be prioritized against ongoing and pipelined IT projects? How will requests from BBs be processed within IT? How will the IT costs be accounted for?
