 Keep hands, feet, objects to yourself.  No bullying, laughing, making fun of others.  Talk only when granted permission to do so.  Do not hinder others’ learning.

 Do not touch other people’s belongings.  Do not go into the cabinets without permission.  Do not write on desks, tear things on desk, etc.  Please take care of the materials of the room.  If it’s not your, DO NOT TOUCH IT without permission.  Don’t ASSUME if you had permission once, you have permission every time!

 Pay attention in class.  Do not use inappropriate language.  Dress appropriately.

 Bring all necessary materials to class DAILY.  Bring a GOOD ATTITUDE to class daily.

 Be on time. (Tardy Policy)  Be dress code compliant.  Put cell phones on silent and away  Dispose of food and/or drinks.  Sharpen pencils.  Be seated in your assigned seat.  Begin your “Starter Activity”.

 Generally I will collect papers.  If I ask you to turn in papers as completed, please put the papers in the appropriate bin on the front table.  Be sure your name, class period, date and the title of the activity are on your paper. Senora Echel 1 st period January 18, 2012 Procedures

 Absolutely NO TALKING during announcements, the pledge, the moment of silence, while the teacher is talking, etc.  When I raise my hand, I am trying to get the classes attention. Stop talking, raise your hand also, face me and listen.  Please do not interrupt during full class instruction time. Please wait until independent time to throw things away, ask to use the restroom, etc.  If you need a sharpened pencil, please raise your hand and I will bring a handheld pencil sharpener to you. The one on the wall is HORRIBLE!

 Each student will receive TWO bathroom passes per six weeks.  Have your passport filled out, your teacher assigned pass in hand and teacher permission/signature before leaving.  If you do not use your bathroom passes, they count two points each on a test at the end of the six weeks. This is a reward for those who are responsible and use the bathroom before or after class.  NO ONE LEAVES CLASS FOR ANY REASON WITHOUT THEIR PASSPORT SIGNED.  Wash your hands!!

 Each student begins the Six Weeks with a ZERO for participation.  It is your responsibility to participate EVERYDAY in order to get your points. You must participate on an average of THREE times a day to get your 100 points.  This is 15% of your overall average.  Being involved, volunteering to answer questions, asking good questions, being on task, etc will get you participation points.  You can LOSE points if you are hindering others from learning and participating.

 Ask for help.  Schedule extra time for help. I am flexible about coming in the mornings or staying in the afternoons but you must check with me first to be sure I will be here and not have a meeting, etc.  DO NOT JUST SHOW UP!

 Wednesdays are our assigned day in the foreign language lab.  We will begin and end class in the classroom.  All belongings will be left in the classroom. (LOCKED)  Follow PCS Technology Policy  Clean up all areas and log off the computer.  THIS IS A PRIVILEGE!! Don’t lose it!

 In the event you are absent, please check my website for assignments.  If you do not have internet access at home, please find a partner to exchange contact information with to get notes, assignments, missed work, etc.  You may come see me before or after school for make-up work. Please do not interrupt class.

 Throw all trash away.  Put all materials away.  The teacher dismisses the class, not the bell.  Respect my time and I will respect yours.

 Part of participation.  Keep up with it on a regular basis.  Must have AT LEAST 10 Artifacts by the end of the semester.  This will benefit you! Help you see what you CAN DO! Help with getting a job!

 There will be a penalty for late work.  However, late is better than never.  What you turn in helps me know where your strengths and weaknesses are.  I prefer work on time but PLEASE turn in ALL work!

All bags, personal items, purses, etc should be placed UNDER the desk. Do not have personal belongings on the desks or in the walkways.

 My goal= Everyone passes!  Set goals for yourself and do what’s necessary to meet those goals.  A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. ~Herm Albright
