Culture in Afghanistan By: Radhika Moghe

What is culture and How does culture affect people? Culture is the way a person is raised. Culture affects people’s perspective of life and also their beliefs.

The Culture of Afghanistan Culture in Afghanistan How it effects people’s daily life Religion: the religion practiced by the majority of people in Afghanistan is Islam. Clothes : there is a traditional wear for both men and women in Afghanistan. Muslims have to pray five times a day. At dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset and evening. Friday is a holy day for Muslims. Shops and offices would be closed on Fridays. Men have to wear Salwar kameez. And the women have to wear a Burqa on top of their clothes.

Women are responsible for all the house work. Culture How it effects people’s daily life Family : family also plays a important role in the culture of Afghanistan. Women are responsible for all the house work. And the men are the “bred winners” meaning that the men earn the money. But in cities women also work outside.
